Sac Poetry returns in January
Another afternoon
around poetry.
A new year brings another opportunity to gather, listen, share and enjoy the company of people who appreciate poetry.
Come on your own or bring a friend. Bring a poem you love, something you’ve written, a few lines saved on your phone, or even a thought you’d like to share. It doesn’t have to be polished or prepared. Just bring something that interests you, and let’s see where the conversation takes us!

As always, there will be room for poetry, conversation, sharing ideas, discovering new voices, and the wonderful things that happen when people gather around words.
More details about the January program will be announced soon. In the meantime, the date is set, and we’d love to see you there.

Our poem exchange is becoming a regular part of Sac Poetry gatherings.
Bring a printed copy of a poem you love. It can be something you’ve written or a poem by another writer. Add it to the basket, and before you leave, choose a different poem to take home.
Don’t have a poem to bring? No problem. There will be extras, and you’re welcome to take one home.
You don’t have to be a poet.
Sac Poetry is for people who love poetry or are simply curious about it.
Some people share their own writing. Others bring a favorite poem or a few lines saved on their phone. Some come to listen, while others enjoy exchanging thoughts and ideas. There’s always something special about people coming together around poetry.
